It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Lawson Drake (Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island), who passed away at the age of 95, on April 23, 2025. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lemuel Drake and Carrie Drake; his siblings, Stewart (Ethel), Vernon (Zelda), Helen and Marion; and his siblings-in-law, Connie Thurber, Angus Matheson and Miriam MacLean.
He is survived by: his wife Eileen; his children, John (Sandra McConkey) and Carolyn (Garth Hurley); his granddaughters, Carrie (Justin Barkhouse) and Katherine (James Mallard); and his siblings-in-law, Allison Jay (Marg), Muriel Jay Matheson, Roddie MacLean, Cynthia Crane (Mearl) and Allan Jay (Shirley). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 30th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 1st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the West River United Church (10 Church St, Cornwall, PE C0A1H0).
