He was predeceased by: his parents, David Pound and Adele Pound (Dappa); and his siblings, Murilla Horobin, Helen MacCallum and Cliff Pound (Carol).

He is survived by: his wife Ella Mackenzie Pound; his children, Jill Wedge (Andy) and Mark Pound (Leanne); and his grandsons, Luke and Owen Pound.

Memorial donations in Jacks memory can be made to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
