He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe and Bertha (The Missus); his sister Donna Trainor; his nieces and nephews, Irwin Mitchell, Junior Moore, Crystal Trainor and Ashlee Grace McGuirk; and his great-niece Monica.

He is survived by: his son Jamie; his grandchildren, Katie, Duncan and Alex McKinnon; his daughter-in-law Tammy (Leona); his siblings, Annamae Benoit (Benny), Lena Moore (late Ray), Doreen Knox (Pete), Jean Mitchell (Roger), Leo (late Shirley), Mary Shea (late Jimmy), Gloria Chandler (late Jack), Eileen Trainor (Alan), Susan Kelly (Jerry) and Joseph; his brother-in-law David Trainor; his mother-in-law Mary McGuirk; and his nieces, Corinne and Chelsea. He is also survived by many in-laws including his goddaughter.
