He was predeceased by: his parents, Theo Sellar and Doris Sellar (MacLure); his brother Robert Sellar; and his brothers-in-law, Reid Villett and Joe Caswell.
He is survived by: his children, Rebecca McClintick (Kevin), Pamela Steele (Geoff), Bethany Sellar (Ben Smith), Poppy of Emmy, Lyla Steele and Harvey Smith; his sisters, Marilyn Villett and Carol Caswell; his nephew Marc (Karen); and his niece Michelle Villett.
