He was predeceased by: his parents, Otto Johnson and Margaret Johnson (Callbeck); his siblings, Deane (Gayle) and June Dawson (Mary Johnson); and his grandsons, Benjamin Johnson, Daniel and Kyle Bambrick.
He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth "Betty" Johnson; his children, Darlene Paynter, Wade (Kathy) and Kevin (Brenda); his stepchildren, Guy MacIntyre (Kim MacDonald), Troy MacIntyre, Jason MacIntyre (Ashley Perry) and Crystal MacNeil (David); his brother Ron Johnson (Jean); and his siblings-in-law, Ralph Dawson, Gordie Roberts and Glenda Myers. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
