She was predeceased by: her husband John Rafuse; her parents, Albert Smith and Bertha Smith (Trueman); and her siblings, Ada, Thelma, Delmore, Garvie, Maynard, Lena, Roy, Marjorie, Cyril and Daniel.
She is survived by: her children, Holly Smith (Derek), Carol MacDonald (Kent), Melda Darnbrough (James) and Joyce Fraser (Hubert); and her grandchildren, Andrew, Terilyn Smith, Lori Tessier (Steve), Jeffrey (Jennifer), Kelly MacDonald, Julie Darnbrough (Tyler Case), Jonathan Darnbrough (Jenna), Nicholas Fraser (Tonia) and Stephanie McQuillan (Colin). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Christ Church.
