Emily Chowan Obituary

We bid farewell to Emily Chowan (Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island), born in Alberton, Prince Edward Island, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on October 19, 2024 at the age of 84. Emily touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Mary Pitre and Jerry Pitre of St. Felix, PEI.; her brothers, Cecil, Oswald and Lloyd; and her brothers-in-law, Arthur, William, John, Joseph, James Chowan, Dennis Pitre and Seymour Desroches.

She is survived by: her husband Vernon Chowan of Winsloe, PEI; her daughter Barbara (late Dale Gaudette) of St. Felix; her stepchild Tracy (Kris Kubassek) of Plattsville, Ontario.; her grandson Brandon Gaudette (Kaylan) of St. Felix; her siblings, Bertha Pitre (late Dennis) of St. Felix, Theresa Peters (Maurice Martin) of Charlottetown, Emile Pitre (Helene) of Tignish Shore, Angela Desroches of St. Felix, Joe Peters of Charlottetown, Shirley Desroches (late Seymour) of St. Felix and Francis Pitre (Nicole) of St. Felix; and her sisters-in-law, Diane Chowan (late William), Rose Chowan (late John), Linda Chowan (late James) and Doreen Peters (late Cecil). She is also survived by her many nieces and nephews.
