He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack and Betty; his sister Catherine Tanton; his brothers-in-law, Darold Tanton and Wendall Gillis Sr.; and his nephew David Gillis.
He is survived by: his siblings, Jeannie Gillis and Peter (Remy). He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
