It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bruce Gus Hillstrom (Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island), who passed away on February 8, 2024, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Loretta Trainor; his parents, Gus Hillstrom and Ann Hillstrom; and his siblings, Don, Jim and Pat.
He is survived by: his children, Valerie MacDougall (Tom), Colleen Gilchrist (Bill) and Gus Hillstrom; his grandchildren, Jennifer, Christopher, Alexander Dallas, Kevin, Scott, Neil and Avery; his great grandchildren, Wesley, Everett and Emerson; and his brother Ken Hillstrom (Anne).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Foundation or the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Roman Catholic Cemetery, Charlottetown Requested Charity QEH Foundation or Heart and Stroke Foundation (PEI).
