He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel Sanderson and Blanche Sanderson (Burke); and his siblings, Barbara O'Brien, Waneta MacDonald and Emmett Sanderson.

He is survived by: his daughters, Paula Sanderson, Cheryl Sousa (Matthew), Robin Macneil (Lucas) and Susan Sanderson (Kelly); his grandchildren, Erika Sanderson, Jonathan Spaulding, Elenore, Coraline Sousa and Jarrett Macneil; his siblings, Muriel Bungay, Raymond Sanderson (Theresa), Joan MacDonald, Merle MacDonald, Dionna MacDonald, Brent Sanderson, Rhonda MacLeod, Garnett Sanderson, Blaine Sanderson and Lionel Sanderson; his siblings-in-law, Sheila Sanderson and Alex MacDonald; and his mother-in-law Ione Kelly (Johnston). He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews, and friends.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions and by his personal request there will be no visiting or service at this time.
