He was predeceased by: his parents, Dan Buchanan and Ruth Buchanan (Horne); his granddaughter-in-law Gerry; his grandson Corey Buchanan; his sisters, Gladys Kerslaki (Al) and Jennie Cave (John); and his siblings-in-law, Doris Buchanan, William MacNeill and Harold Darrach.
He is survived by: his wife Aleta (Harris); his children, Norman (Lana Biggar), David, Angela Adams (Glenn), Grampie, Michael Buchanan (Chancey), Spencer Buchanan, Melissa Hankinson (Matthew), Brody Buchanan (Jeneva), Malcolm Buchanan (Ashley), Mark Buchanan (Amy), Christina Smallman (Adam), Chad Adams (Karen) and Chelsey Perry (Blake); his siblings, Myrna Ellis (Aubrey), George (Hazel) and Warner; and his sisters-in-law, Lorna MacNeill and Olive Darrach.
