He was predeceased by: his parents, Jim Byrne and Annie Byrne; his wife Teresa Byrne (McIntosh); his siblings, Jim Byrne (late Lenore), Margie Fowler (late Royce) and Rita Haroldson (late Len); his daughters, Delores Byrne and Diane Coulter; his grandson Ian Byrne; his grandchildren-in-law, Ed Byrne (Joan), Joan Connors (Gary) and Evelyn Lewis (Richard); and his siblings, Annie (Jane), Mary (Amelia), Colleen (Johnny), Tommy (Joe) and Angus (Clarence).

He is survived by: his children, Keith Byrne (Lucille), Deborah Walmsley (Paul), Kevin Byrne (Ivy), Denise (Bob), Robblee and John Byrne (Julie); his son-in-law Kevin Coulter; and his sibling-in-law Shirley Pemberton.
