It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Philias Gallant (York, Ontario), born in Saint-Ignace, New Brunswick, who passed away on March 27, 2018, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Placide and Leocadie; and his siblings, Paul-Emile Gemma, Laurie Gemma, Gerard Gemma, Yvon Gemma, Rose-Anna Gemma, Rose-Eva Gemma, Alice Gemma and Soeur Gemma.

He is survived by: his wife Yolande (Johnson); his children, Rose-Yvonne Jr (Gilles), Monique Jr (Lou) and Philias Jr (Helen); his grandchildren, Martin (Lisa), Luc, Emma and Stéphanie; and his siblings, Laurida, Germaine and Valmont. He is also survived by his many sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and many friends.
