She was predeceased by: her spouse Wilbert H. Barshinger; her parent Lester Crumling; her siblings, Viola Hilt, Martha Quickel and Alfred Crumling; and her half-brother Penrose Emenheiser.

She is survived by: her parent Katie Crumling (Fake); her children, Patricia Astor (James) and Jay Barshinger; her grandchildren, Eric Astor (Lauren) and Michele Astor-Pratt (Joel); and her great grandchildren, Lucas Astor and Sean Astor. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
