He was predeceased by: his parents, Emmett McLean and Gladys McLean; his parents-in-law, Noe and Clara Drouillard; his granddaughters, Trisha and Emily; and his brothers, Patrick, Bernard and Edward.

He is survived by: his wife Bernadette; his children, Patrick (Joanne) and Cheryl Sutton (David); his siblings, Jim (Julie), Patricia Best (Al Manley), Charles (late Pam), Leonard (Annette), Ralph (Naomi), Mary Sauve (Francis) and Vicki McLean; his in-laws, Madeleine Boussey (Gerry), Theresa Gillan, Marie Burns (Ray), Elie Quenneville, Paul Drouillard, Angela Sylvester (Paul), Lucille Reeb (Clare), Jeannette Ostrow (John), Dave Gillan, Florence Quenneville and Diane Drouillard; and his friend Dave Schnurr. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St Joseph's Hospice of Sarnia, or to the CEE Foundation (Charlotte Eleanor Englehart Hospital Petrolia).
