He was predeceased by: his wife Joan Gibson (Clark); and his parents, Robert Gibson and Johanna Gibson (Ewald). He is survived by: his children, Michael Gibson, Cindy Gammage of Wroxeter, Douglas, Claire Gibson of Moonbeam, Robert, Jan Gibson of Parry Sound, Mary Ellen and George Murray of Clifford; and his siblings, Daisy Gibson (Dorothy), Robert (Barbara Gibson) and William Gibson (Les). He is also survived by ten grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Wroxeter United Church or the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated.
