She was predeceased by: her mother Wilma Gaisbauer; her husband Neri Melanson; and her son Cam Melanson. She is survived by: her father Konrad Gaisbauer; her daughter Jackie Veenstra of Woodstock; her granddaughter Teighan Morris of Woodstock; and her siblings, Cheryl, Becky, Harold and Sandy. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and extended family.
