She was predeceased by: her husband John Wortel. She is survived by: her children, Rene Wortel, Rudy Wortel (Katherine), Rita Graaskamp (James) and Ronald Wortel (Janet); and her grandchildren, Jeremiah (Lynne), Johanna (Ryan), Jennica (Matthew), Emma (Anthony), Mareshal, Ava, Owen, Jaina, Arianna, Alessandro, Kellen and Klayton.
