Roy Schermerhorn Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Roy Schermerhorn of Woodstock, Ontario, who passed away on June 3, 2021, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Roy Schermerhorn to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his daughter Janice Smith; his parents, Percy Schermerhorn and May Schermerhorn (Chesney); his granddaughter Sarah Young; his sister Marie Lenart; and his brothers-in-law, John Lenart and Harold Gable.

He is survived by: his wife Vera Schermerhorn (Codling); his children, Cathy, Dan Halashewski of Stokes Bay, Gail, Lloyd Cornell of Winnipeg, Chris Wiseman of Clarenville and Brenda Brown of Woodstock; his grandchildren, Tim, Jerry, Joshua, Tamara, Rebecca, Trevor, Bobby, Danielle and Nathan; and his sister Pearl Gable of Innerkip. He is also survived by his 7 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the University Hospital - Transplant Unit would be appreciated by the family.
