He was predeceased by: his brothers, Leonard and Bill. He is survived by: his wife Patricia "Pat" A. Thompson; his children, Kelly Esseltine (Alan) and Scott Thompson (Carrie); his grandchildren, Heather, Ethan and Jack; and his siblings-in-law, Paul Hillsdon (Colleen) and Nancy Birtch.
