He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Shirley McDougall; his sons, Rob McDougall (Barb), Brad McDougall (Shelley) and Ken McDougall (Elizabeth); his grandchildren, Derek (Sara), Brent (Lindsay), Craig (Sindi), Jessica (Joel), Tanner, Marissa, Cole, Haily, Laura and Sheryl; his great grandchildren, Morgan and Aubree; his parents, Esther McDougall and John McDougall; and his siblings, Helen, Betty, Margaret (Ed), Evelyn (Howie), Maureen and Tom (Ruby). He was also cherished by many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
