He was predeceased by: his wife Alice Handy; and his siblings, Donald, Joan Fletcher and Linda Schwenger. He is survived by: his children, Peter, Krista Rutzer, David, Lisa, Layne, Ron Pullman and Shane; his grandchildren, Dale, Sadie, Amy, Ryan, Sean, Patrick, Kurtiss, Karlea, Jeff and Shannon; his great grandchildren, Rory, Zoey, Nico, Hailee, Nicole and Lexie; and his sisters, Carol Provost (George) and Janice Spring (Bill).
As expressions of sympathy donations in Merv's memory may be made to the Salvation Army or the Red Cross.
