He is survived by: his wife Leah (Carpenter); his children, Kathryn, Jonathan and Nathan; his father Jan Baan; his parents-in-law, David and Arlene Carpenter; and his siblings, Anneke Vanden Berg (Dave), William Baan (Jennifer), Corinne Duizer (Adrian), Joanne Bulk (Arie) and Marlene Looby (David). He is also survived by 16 nieces and nephews.
