He was predeceased by: his parents, Franciszek Janik and Helena Janik; and his brother John Janik. He is survived by: his spouse Maria Janik; his children, Michael Janik (Andrea) of Toronto and Trish Janik (Bill) of London; his siblings, Mike Janik (Irene) of Woodstock and Teresa Janik of Woodstock; and his siblings-in-law, Donna Janik, Theresa Picknell (Doug), John Grabowski (Donna) and Stan Grabowski (Wendy). He is also survived by his nieces, nephews.
As an expression of sympathy donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
