He was predeceased by: his parents, Pieter and Catharina (Romeijnsen); and his daughter MacKenzie Brooke. He is survived by: his wife Lynne (Kelley); his children, Brett (Isabella), Nick (Melanie) and Taylor (Corey); his grandchildren, Manuela, Aldo, Quinn, Massimo and Brooklyn; his sibling Bert Opthof (Margaret); and his sister-in-law Susan Josey (Greg). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Sunday, January 12th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:45 PM at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home (845 Devonshire Ave, Woodstock, ON N4S8Z4). A celebration of life was held on Sunday, January 12th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
