He is survived by: his wife Maria Suzette; his children, Joe (Ann), Fernando (Brenda) and Nancy Janssen (Mark); his grandchildren, Jenn, Joey (Samantha), Matt, Nathan (Nancy), Adrian, Jesse, Amber and Myra; his great grandchildren, Lowen, Emmeline, Scarlett, Ella and Adel; and his siblings, Margarida Rodrigues (Manuel), Fatima DeMelo Cordeiro (Jose Luis), Francisco DeMelo (Natalia), Herculana DeMelo (Duarte) and Jaime DeMelo (Nelia). He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
