He was predeceased by: his spouse Florina Visser (Verwoert); his brother Addie; and his brother-in-law Adriaan. He is survived by: his father Opa; his child Janet Kotlar; and his siblings, Jaap (Wil), Addy (Arie), Connie, Greet and Ali. He is also survived by his 12 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
