John Szasz Obituary

It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved John Szasz of Woodstock, Ontario, who passed away at the age of 97, on February 1, 2025. Though John may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those John touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John and Juliana (Szabo); his wife Linda (Hill); his sister-in-law Sandra (George Young); his nephew Bruce Young (Deirdre Bryce); and his nieces, Alison Vigneault (Bernard) and Catherine Eva (Jack).

Visitation was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home (845 Devonshire Ave, Woodstock, ON N4S8Z4). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Knox Presbyterian Church (59 Riddell St, Woodstock, ON N4S6M2).
