He was predeceased by: his wife Diane Blackmore; and his parents, Frank Balkema and Annie Balkema. He is survived by: his stepsons, Trevor, Jamie and Andrew Blackmore; his sister Hetty Balkema (Darrel Ford); and his niece Cheryl-Ann Kier.
