He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Robinson and Nellie Robinson; his sister Donna Shearer; and also, George Shearer and Margaret Shearer.

He is survived by: his spouse Janice Robinson; his child Graham Robinson (Gary) of New York; his siblings-in-law, Ann Girling of Brantford, Don Shearer of Woodstock and Elaine Shearer of Vancouver; and his mother-in-law Geraldine Shearer of Woodstock. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Woodstock Hospital - Critical Care Unit or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
