He was predeceased by: his son Francisco Moniz; his parents, Manuel Moniz and Rosa Oliveira; and his siblings, Manuel Moniz, Maria Rosa Oliveira, José Oliveira and Conçeicão Costa.
He is survived by: his spouse Ligia Correia Moniz; his children, Paul, Susan Moniz, Lucy, Frank, Costa, Herbert Moniz and Tracy Lesperance; his grandchildren, Anne Moniz, Cameron Moniz, Brandon Moniz, Evan Moniz and Mason Moniz; his great grandchild Austin Moniz; and his sisters-in-law, Leonor Pacheco and Lucrecia Correira. He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews and extended family.
