He is survived by: his wife Yvonne Eckel; his children, Bryan Eckel (Deb), Suzanne Conroy (John), Tracie Ward (Michael) and Lance Eckel (Cristen); his grandchildren, Stephanie (Nick), Talia (Matt), Reed Eckel, Christian (Rachel), Corbet Conroy, Connor, Emily Ward, Julia and Nathan Eckel; his great grandchild Ethan Coleman; his sibling-in-law Phillis Eckel (Toronto); his cousins, Sharon Smith (Woodstock) and David Kennedy (Orillia); and also Waterloo. He is also survived by his children, grandchildren, other family members and friends.
