He was predeceased by: his parents, James Ruddick and Eva Ruddick; his sisters, Irene Hoare and Mary McCutcheon; his brother-in-law Jack McCutcheon; and his son-in-law Ed Harvey.

He is survived by: his children, Michelle Harvey (Andrew) and Donald J. Ruddick (Jean); his grandchildren, Jacob Harvey, Rachel Harvey and Nicole Harvey; his brother Doug Ruddick; and his brother-in-law Ken Hoare (Jackie).
