He was predeceased by: his wife Margaret Ann McDonald; his parent Joseph McDonald; his siblings, Ernie McDonald, Charles McDonald, Jeannette Millard and Sharlene Mitchell; and his siblings-in-law, Bill Mitchell, Donald Deschenes and Ruth Anne McDonald.
He is survived by: his children, Donald Harold, Drew McDonald (Andrew), Poppa Don, Bryson, Curtis and Lucas McDonald; his parent Jean McDonald; his parents-in-law, Harold Major and Jean Major (Bassett); his siblings, Connie Hislop (John), Shelley McCutchen (Paul), Bud McDonald (Diane) and Mary McDonald; and his siblings-in-law, Gerald Millard, Doris McDonald, Betty Mathers (Dave) and Chuck Major (Janice). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
