He was predeceased by: his daughter Lisa Greb; his parents, Arthur and Bernice; and his brother Thomas. He is survived by: his wife Diane; his son Jonathan (Emily); his grandson Daniel Greb; his stepson Rodney Stecho (Laura); his grandsons, John and Thomas; his stepson Kevin Stecho; his grandchildren, Jack and Claire; his sisters, Julianne Holmes (late Doug) and Nancy Lishman (Rick); and his sisters-in-law, Donna Hall (late Bob) and Marj Moore (Keith). He is also survived by his grandchildren while Uncle Dave will be missed by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Donations may be made in Dave's memory to Sunrise Therapeutic Riding & Learning Centre, Sakura House or Torch Run (Special Olympics).
