He was predeceased by: his parents, Tjipke Terpstra and Marie Terpstra; and his sister Emma Neumann. He is survived by: his spouse Carolyn Terpstra; his children, Calix Terpstra Jr (Suzi) and Rena Kubota (Scott); his grandchildren, Paige McMahon (Peter) and Connor McMahon; and his siblings, John, Rene (Darlene), Julia Atchison (David), Herman (Sandra), Peter, Theresa and Ted. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
