He was predeceased by: his granddaughter Katie VanOstaeyen; his parents, James and Annie; and his siblings, Ernie, Carl, John, Tom, Bob, Charlie, Laurie, Norman and Catherine.
He is survived by: his wife Edna Dean; his children, Ed Dean (Jan) and Nancy VanOstaeyen (Frank); his grandchildren, Rachel Dean, Melanie Ferris (Ryan), Nicole VanOstaeyen-Koot (Tony), Christie VanOstaeyen and Kelsey Ingram (Brandon); his great grandchildren, Carter, Brady, Elizabeth, Nolan of Harry, KC and Kallie; his sibling Shirley Stairs; and his son Towing Ltd.
