He was predeceased by: his wife Helene Robar (Savary); his parents, Clyde Deward Robar and Viola Louise McAlpine; and his siblings, Harold, Eleanor, Dorothy, Flora and Margaret.
He is survived by: his daughters, Debra (Stephen Tait), Valerie (Ted Sparks) and Julia (David Wareham); his grandchildren, Amber, Geoffrey Spence, Dennis Tait, Monica Tait, Brittany Sparks, Aaron Gonsenhauser, Maleah Sparks and Daniel Zigler; and his great grandchildren, Ewan, Rory, Maxwell, Zoey and Levi. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
