He was predeceased by: his brother Joaquin; and his parents, José and Vitória. He is survived by: his wife Maria; his sons, Manuel (Ana) and Joe (Marie); his grandchildren, Daniel (Nicole), David (Caitlin), Stephanie and Selena; and his brothers, José, João, Abilio, Luis and António. He is also survived by his brother in laws, and sister-in-laws.
