It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Nick Schiestel in Wingham, Ontario, who passed away on December 13, 2021, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Nick Schiestel to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his daughter Lisa Anderson; his parents, Fred Sr. Schiestel and Gertrude Schiestel; his brother Tom Schiestel; and his parents-in-law, Mary Schiestel, Lorne Schwehr, Pauline Schiestel, David Kestner, Ronald Kestner and Gregory Beninger.
He is survived by: his wife Alice Schiestel; his children, Sherry, Jamie Kennedy, Laurie, Kevin Miller of Fordwich, Wendy, Chris Zinn of Wroxeter, Rob Anderson and Cheryl Webster of Bluevale; his grandchildren, Nicole Funk, Jenna, Brady Lantz, Cole Miller, Logan Miller, Ryan Zinn, Justin Zinn and Alivia Anderson; his siblings, Anne Schwehr, Fred (Darlene Schiestel), Charlie Schiestel, Gertie Eckenswiller, George (Marilyn Schiestel), Ike Schiestel, Pete (Jayne Schiestel) and Cindy (Doug Wyatt); and his parents-in-law, Eileen Beninger, Evelyn Kestner, Marilyn, George Schiestel, Gerald, Maryanne Kestner, Kenny, Carol Kestner, Diane and Andy Fortney. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, friends.
Visitation will be held at the Tiffin Funeral Home, Teeswater on Friday, December 17th, 2021, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p. m. Anyone wishing to attend the visitation must RSVP using the links found below. All attendees must wear a mask and respect physical distancing protocols.
Memorial donations to Wingham and District Hospital Foundation, Teeswater Culross Firefighters Association or the Fire Department of North Huron would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
