He was predeceased by: his daughters, Judith Wilson, Leah Bateman and Cynthia Wilson-Smith; his granddaughter Dyan Wallace; his great grandchild Hudson; his parents, John Wilson and Alice Wilson; and his sister Dorothy Carrick.

He is survived by: his wife Barbara Wilson; his children, Marie, Gary Morton, Sandra "Sam", Robert McDowell and Leslie Wilson; his sons-in-law, David Smith and Ernie Bateman; his siblings, John Stewart Wilson and Carol; and his brother-in-law Michael Bolan. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to your local food bank or a charity of choice would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
