She was predeceased by : her sons, Luke and Darryl; her parents, Clarence Kestner and Rita Kestner; her brothers, Ronald Kestner and David Kestner; and her in-laws, Gregory Beninger, Anne, Lorne Schwehr, Tom Schiestel, Mary Schiestel, Pauline Schiestel and Nick Schiestel.

She is survived by : her husband George Schiestel; her children, Lee-Anne and Les Szabo; her grandsons, Luke and Logan; her siblings, Eileen Beninger, Alice Schiestel, Gerald (Maryanne Kestner), Kenny (Carol Kestner) and Dianne (Andy Fortney); and her in-laws, Evelyn Kestner, Fred, Darlene Schiestel, Charlie Schiestel, Gertie Eckenswiller, Ike Schiestel, Pete, Jayne Schiestel, Cindy and Doug Wyatt. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, friends.

Visitation was held on Friday, June 21st 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Tiffin Funeral Home (4 & Clinton St S, Teeswater, ON N0G2S0). A vigil service was held on Friday, June 21st 2024 from 8:45 PM to 9:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, June 22nd 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church (14 Gordon St W, Teeswater, ON N0G2S0).

Memorial donations to the Wingham and District Hospital Foundation or Diabetes Canada would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
