He was predeceased by: his parents, Ken Scott and Lottie Scott (Saunders); and his brothers-in-law, Jerry DeBruyn and Gord Jenkins. He is survived by: his siblings, Beth DeBruyn (Bob Checkley), Ila (Bill Gadke), John (Anne Scott), Karen Scott of Blyth, Pat Jenkins of Blyth, Jim Scott, Bill (Jennifer Scott), Audrey (Lyle Bridge) and Allan (Marilyn Scott). He is also survived by his co-workers and dear friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Royal Canadian Legion, Br. 180 in Wingham or the Belgrave Arena would be appreciated.
