She was predeceased by: her parents, John Ash and Katherine Ash; and her former husband Oliver Hillock. She is survived by: her husband Ernest Lane; her children, Mark Hillock, Julie Synnott (Wayne), Stephen Hillock, Malcolm Hillock (Sera) and Denice Hillock (Ryan); her sister Kathy Raine; her grandchildren, Joshua, Charlene (Cody), Ashley and Matthew; and her great grandchildren, Maxx and Lainey. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to a charity that benefits animals in memory of Janet would be appreciated.
