She was predeceased by: her husband Jack Brophy; her parents, Bill Deitner and Delma Deitner; and her siblings, Ross Deitner, Aileen Leddy and Joanne Pickett.
She is survived by: her children, Carol, Wayne Horton of Wingham, Joe, Adrienne Brophy of Wingham, Theresa, Ed Haines of Stratford, Teddy, Mike Stewart of Wingham, Rita, Don Haasnoot of Seaforth and Jackie Brophy; her grandchildren, Ashley, Jeremy Schnurr, Byron Horton, Shawn Brophy, Adam, Helen Brophy, Jenny, Kevin Hallahan, John, Nicole Haines, Matt Weber, Tyler, Marla Stewart, Josh Stewart, Natalie Irwin, Devan Haasnoot, Shawn Butler, Jaleesa, Geoff Alderice, Kaitlynn, Scott Forrest, Julia Hawkins, Kathryn Hawkins and Jack Hawkins; her siblings, Rita, Jack Keys of Niagara, Karen and Willie Tweedy of Winnipeg, Manitoba.; and her siblings-in-law, Dennis Leddy of Kitchener, Ozzie Pickett of Kitchener and Norma Brophy of Wingham.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 24th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the McBurney Funeral Home (35 Patrick St W, Wingham, ON N0G 2W0). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, October 25th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church (220 Carling Terrace, Wingham, ON N0G2W0).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated.
