He was predeceased by: his wife Emma Henning (Walker); his parents, Lloyd Henning and Irene Henning (Casemore); his siblings, Raymond Henning, Muriel Elliott and Marguerite Fischer; and his brother-in-law Joe Walker.

He is survived by: his pet Ginger; his sister Eileen Walker of Bluevale; and his sister-in-law Edna MacTavish of Wingham. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
