She was predeceased by: her parents, Steve and Annie; her brother-in-law Martin (Susanne Bohnert); her nephews, Martin Jr. and Erwin; her cousins, Martin and Lucy Schneider; her uncle Steve; and her aunt Mary Hinek of Windsor.
She is survived by: her husband Carl; her children, Susan Bohnert Hamelin (Mark) of Belle River and Douglas Bohnert (Maureen) of Port Elgin; and her grandchildren, Joshua (Jordan), Jonathan (Cheyanne), Nikolaus (Breanne), Jacob (Kristi), Michael (Amber) and Rachel.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Banwell Chapel (11677 Tecumseh Rd E, Windsor, ON N8N1L8). A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 4:30 PM to 5:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Simon and St. Jude Church (488 St Charles St, Belle River, ON N0R1A0).
As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Transition to Betterness.
