He was predeceased by: his parents, James Laird and Mary Laird. He is survived by: his wife Kathleen; his sons, Matthew Momney (Erin) and Jeremy Momney; his siblings, Scott Laird and Donna Laird; his pet Zeus; his parents-in-law, Omay and Sharon Drouillard; and his siblings-in-law, Karyn Bratt (Jeff) and Dale Drouillard (Moira). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

As an expression of sympathy and to honour Terry, memorial donations may be made to Windsor-Essex County Cancer Centre Foundation.
