He was predeceased by: his wife Judy Brant; his children, Fred Brant and Beverly High; his siblings, Jo-Anne, Bea, Doug and Barney; and his grandchild Robbie.

He is survived by: his children, Pamela Thompson (Larry), Barb Brant, Ron Brant Jr. (Judy), Sharon Dunwoody (Dave) and Joe Brant; his sister Kay; his grandchildren, Amie, Lindsay, Donald, Kelly, Katelynn, Kerri, Kim, Allen, Tim, Maaya and Jeremy; and his great grandchildren, Robbie, Riley, Ryan, Arabella, Mackenzie, Devon, Caleleah, Liam, Haisley, Olive, Dekson, Duke and Lincoln. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
