He was predeceased by: his parents, Real Demers and Jean Demers. He is survived by: his wife Shelley; his pet Penny; his daughters, Debbie (Simon) and Kim; his brothers, Gil (Genny), Dan (Linda), Roger (Sue), Guy and Carmen; his siblings-in-law, Allan, Brian (Melva), Neil, Mark and Patricia; and his caregiver Agnes White.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations made to Hospice of Windsor & Essex County or to the Humane Society of Windsor Essex would be appreciated by Rick's family.
